The Secret Language of Girls was really interesting. Its starts off with two best friends going off to middle school and they are sort of start getting new interests and going their own ways. By the middle of the story you find out that they both want to be friends but life has separated them because Marylin is a cheerleader and the other girls do not want them to be friends with Kate which is still a little babyish. The cheerleader are pulling a prank on Kate to get revenge but then Marylin realizes that she has to help her friend and at the end of the story they are back to the true friends they were. I really like this book. I think that people who really like realistic fiction and things that people experience you should read this book.
